About Liz Bierly
I am an editorial assistant at Sojourners magazine located in Washington, D.C. as a member of the Cycle 38 fellowship cohort.
In May 2021, I graduated from Ithaca College with a B.A. in Journalism with three minors in counseling, politics, and interdisciplinary studies. I am grateful for the time I spent there as a Park Scholar, where I cemented my passion for communications, service, leadership, and advocacy. I also spent 1.5 years conducting research on how perpetrators of mass shootings are portrayed in the media, a topic I hope to pursue further in the future.

I am passionate about copy editing, column writing, and, above all else, I am driven by the impact that personal storytelling has on our world today. My media creation process centers around addressing key issues that our world faces in a factual, ethical way, and I am committed to putting my faith into action for social justice while pursuing equity, inclusion, and belonging for those around me.
